Crochet Amigurumi Unicorn Pattern

All pieces are worked in a spiral. Stuff as needed, but not too firmly.
Legs (make 2)
1. 5 sc in MR
2. inc x 5 times (10)
3. (1 sc, inc) x 5 times (15)
4. (2 sc, inc) x 5 times (20)
5-54. Continue working 50 rounds in a spiral (20)
Fasten off and cut the yarn. Work the second leg the same way, but do not cut the yarn, because you will continue crocheting the body.
Body
1. Continue crocheting and join the legs: 4 ch, 20 sc around the leg where you cut the yarn, 4 sc along the chain stitches, 20 sc around the other leg (48)
2-5. 48 sc
6. Make 1 dec on each side (46)
7-9. 46 sc
10. Make 1 dec on each side (44)
11-13. 44 sc
14. Make 1 dec on each side (42)
15-17. 42 sc
18. Make 1 dec on each side (40)
19-21. 40 sc
22. Make 1 dec on each side (38)
23-25. 38 sc
26. Make 1 dec on each side (36)
27-28. 36 sc
29. Make 1 dec on each side (34)
30-31. 34 sc
32. Make 1 dec on each side, plus 1 dec in the center of the back and 1 dec in the center of the front (see photo) (30)
33. (3 sc, dec) x 6 times (24)
34-35. 24 sc
There is no need to cut the yarn.

Head
1. Continue crocheting. (1 sc, inc) x 12 times (36)
2. (5 sc, inc) x 6 times (42)
3. (6 sc, inc) x 6 times (48)
4. (7 sc, inc) x 6 times (54)
5. (8 sc, inc) x 6 times (60)
6. (9 sc, inc) x 6 times (66)
7. (10 sc, inc) x 6 times (72)
8-17. 72 sc
18. If you are using safety eyes, make openings for them (see photo). Make sure the openings are symmetrical: 2 ch, skip 2 stitches, 10 sc, 2 ch, skip 2 stitches, 58 sc (72)
19. 72 sc
20. (10 sc, dec) x 6 times (66)
21. (9 sc, dec) x 6 times (60)
22. (8 sc, dec) x 6 times (54)
23. (7 sc, dec) x 6 times (48)
If your unicorn will have eyelashes, cut a piece of lash strip to the length you need. I glue the eyelashes to the eyes first, then insert them into the openings.

24. (6 sc, dec) x 6 times (42)
25. (5 sc, dec) x 6 times (36)
26. (4 sc, dec) x 6 times (30)

30. dec x 6 times (6)
Cut the yarn and hide the end.
Arms (make 2)
1. 6 sc in MR
2. inc x 6 times (12)
3-37. 12 sc
38. Fold in half and crochet 6 sc through both layers
Do not stuff the upper part of the arms too firmly, so they do not stick out after sewing. Leave a yarn tail for sewing.
Ears (make 2)
1. 6 sc in MR
2. (1 sc, inc) x 3 times (9)
3. (2 sc, inc) x 3 times (12)

7. (5 sc, inc) x 3 times (21)
8. (4 sc, dec) x 3 times (18)
9. (3 sc, dec) x 3 times (15)
10. dec, 13 sc (14) (the decrease will be on the front part of the ear)

Leave a yarn tail for sewing.

7-9. 30 sc
Leave a yarn tail for sewing.
Horn
1. 6 sc in MR
2. (1 sc, inc) x 3 times (9)
3. 9 sc
4. (2 sc, inc) x 3 times (12)
5. 12 sc
6. (3 sc, inc) x 3 times (15)
7. 15 sc
8. (4 sc, inc) x 3 times (18)
9-11. 18 sc
Leave a yarn tail for sewing.
Finishing and Assembly
- First, shape the eye area so the eyes look more expressive. Insert the needle next to one eye and bring it out near the other eye (as shown in the photo), then make the same stitch in the opposite direction. Pull the yarn tight, secure it, and hide the end.
- Use pins to attach all body parts symmetrically. Stuff the muzzle and horn, then sew them on.
- I made the mane from multicolored yarn, but you can choose any color you like. Make the hair strands for the mane and tail the same way, by crocheting a chain of chain stitches: for the mane, make a chain of 50 ch; for the tail, make a chain of 40 ch. Sew the mane along the center of the head, from the top of the head to the neck. Gather the tail strands into a bundle and sew them on.
- Embroider the nose and eyebrows.
- Tint the cheeks and ears with a wax pencil or pastels.
