Leave a yarn tail for sewing on the head. Stuff the neck very firmly so it does not wobble.
Mane and Tail
Cut strands for the mane, each 60 cm long, and strands for the tail, each 30 cm long. Twist each strand, fold it in half, and secure it with a knot. The finished braid for the mane should be about 22 cm long, and the tail braid about 11 cm. Attach the mane and tail.

You can also make the mane in other ways. Choose whichever method you like best. For example, crochet a chain to the desired length and work single crochet stitches along it. Or work two single crochet stitches into each chain. The more stitches you work into one chain, the more the spiral will curl.
