Little Unicorn

Free crochet tutorial for Little Unicorn by @maresya_handmade.

With this pattern, you can crochet a plush unicorn. Any plush yarn will work for this amigurumi: Himalaya Dolphin Baby, YarnArt Dolce, and others. The legs and body are crocheted as one piece, the arms are crocheted in, and the head and ears are sewn on.

Materials and Tools

• Plush yarn (main color)
• YarnArt Jeans yarn (different colors for the mane, tail, and horn)
• 5 mm crochet hook
• 16 mm safety eyes
• Toy stuffing
• Needle for sewing pieces together
• Scissors

Head

Insert the 16 mm colored safety eyes between rounds 8 and 9, with 9 sc between the eyes.

Face Details

• Make the eye indentation
• Embroider the upper eyelid above the eyes with black cotton thread
• Embroider the nostrils and mouth

Crochet in white.

Fasten off. Do not stuff. Sew the bottom of the ear closed, pulling the bottom together. Leave a long tail for sewing.

Secure with a sl st and cut the yarn. Crochet the second leg the same way, but do not cut the yarn; you will continue crocheting the body.

From the second leg, crochet 3 ch and join the first leg.

Add stuffing as you crochet. When you finish crocheting, cut the yarn and leave the opening unclosed.

Mane and Tail Details

• Cut yarn in different colors into 12 cm lengths for the mane and 10 cm lengths for the tail (the more strands you use, the thicker and fuller it will be)
• Tie the yarn to the toy (take two strands at a time and secure them with two knots)
• Trim the bangs, and even out the mane and tail if needed
