Crochet amigurumi deer

Free crochet tutorial for a Little Deer by Evgenia @pilulya_radosti.

With this pattern, you can crochet a deer. Any acrylic yarn, cotton yarn, or cotton blend yarn and a suitable crochet hook will work for this amigurumi. If desired, you can make a refrigerator magnet or use the deer as a Christmas tree ornament.

The finished toy is about 12 cm tall.

Materials and Tools

  • Pekhorka Detskaya Novinka yarn: 02 (black), 06 (red), 187 (cappuccino)
  • 1.5 mm crochet hook
  • 5 mm safety eyes
  • Toy stuffing
  • Beige felt
  • Chenille wire
  • Glitter foamiran
  • Piece of faux fur
  • Needle

Crochet Amigurumi Deer Pattern

Head

1. 6 sc in MR
2. 6 inc (12). Place a marker.

Stuff with fiberfill up to round 11. Cut the yarn and close the remaining opening with a needle. Bring the yarn end out at the center back of the head.

Nose

Use red yarn.

Stuff lightly with fiberfill. Cut the yarn and close the remaining opening with a needle. Bring the yarn end out at the center of the nose.

Ears (Make 2)

1. 6 sc in MR
2. ch, turn, (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)
3. ch, crochet 4 sc along the straight side

Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.

Body

Use red yarn.

If you are making magnets, glue in the magnet. To do this, cut an oval from felt to match the shape of the crocheted piece and glue it together with the magnet inside the crocheted piece.

Change color to cappuccino.

Upper Legs (Make 2)

Use cappuccino yarn.

Change color to red.

Fold the piece in half and crochet both sides together with sc. Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.

Lower Legs (Make 2)

Use cappuccino yarn.

Toy Assembly

Crochet amigurumi little deer

  • Cut antlers out of felt and glue them to the head.
  • Glue the tuft to the head.
  • Sew the nose to round 3 of the head from the MR.
  • Cut eye patches out of felt, sew 0.5 cm beads to them, and glue them to the head.
  • Embroider the mouth with black yarn.
  • Sew the ears under the antlers.
  • Sew the head by round 11 to round 1 of the body, then secure the bottom of the head to the body with several tightening stitches.
  • Sew the upper legs to round 4 of the body and the lower legs to the first brown round of the body.
