Crochet amigurumi deer in a sweater

Free Deer in a Sweater crochet pattern by Valentina Vishnevskaya @cherryplusha.

With this pattern, you can crochet a deer wearing a sweater and scarf. Any cotton blend yarn will work well for this amigurumi, including YarnArt Jeans, Alize Cotton Gold, Gazzal Baby Cotton, and similar yarns.

The finished toy is about 26 cm (10.2 in) tall, including the antlers.

  • YarnArt Jeans yarn: 07 beige (main color), 51 red (sweater and boots), 03 ecru (sweater), 55 turquoise (scarf and pants), 71 cocoa (antlers, nose, and soles), and a small amount of white (muzzle)

Crochet the scarf with a 2.5 mm hook.

Finishing and assembly

  • Sew the muzzle directly beneath the eyes, down to round 23.
  • Position the nose where it looks best and sew it in place.
  • Sew the antlers between rounds 2 and 4.
  • Sew the ears directly below the antlers.
  • Sew the arms near round 24.
  • Embroider the whites of the eyes.
  • Add eyebrows and eyelashes if desired.
  • Your little deer is ready!
