Fox Cub Costume

Free crochet tutorial for a Fox Cub Costume by Serafima Petrova @moy_viaz.

With this tutorial, you can crochet a fox cub cape for a toy. To make the outfit, you will need any plush yarn, such as Himalaya Dolphin Baby or YarnArt Dolce. Fiberfill is not required. The cape fastens with buttons.

Materials and Tools

• Plush yarn: orange and white
• 4-4.5 mm crochet hook
• Stitch markers
• Pins
• Two buttons
• Thread for the loop
• Needle for sewing pieces
• Scissors

Tail

With white yarn:

With orange yarn:

Fold the piece in half and crochet 4 sc through both layers. Fasten off. Cut the yarn, leaving a small tail.

Sleeves

With orange yarn:

Edge the entire cape with white sc.

Make 4 pieces: 2 orange and 2 white. Fold one orange and one white piece together, then crochet around the edge with orange sc. Repeat for the second ear. Sew on the ears and buttons.
