Tobik the amigurumi puppy crochet pattern

A free crochet pattern for Tobik the Puppy by Ekaterina Chirkova @chirka_toys.

With this pattern, you can crochet a plush dog. You can use any plush yarn for this amigurumi project, including Himalaya Dolphin Baby, YarnArt Dolce, Kamtex Velour, or a similar yarn.

The finished toy is approximately 7.5 in (19 cm) tall.

Materials and Tools

  • Himalaya Dolphin Baby yarn in colors 342, 308, and 325
  • YarnArt Jeans yarn for the muzzle
  • 3.5 mm crochet hook
  • 16 mm safety eyes
  • Fiberfill
  • Needle for sewing the pieces together
  • Scissors

Make sure the legs are positioned evenly in relation to the tail. Work a sl st and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing on the head. Stuff the body with fiberfill.

Assembly

  • Sculpt the muzzle with thread.
  • Embroider the nose, mouth, and eyebrows.
  • Sew the ears to Round 16 of the head, leaving 5 stitches between them.
  • Sew on the head. First, secure it to the body with two knitting needles, then sew it in place using the yarn tail left after crocheting the body. Reinforce the neck area with fiberfill.
  • Sew the hind legs between Rounds 4 and 10 of the body. (For convenience, I secured them to the body with three long needles before sewing them on.)
