Pants

Gazzal Baby Cotton yarn, 2 mm crochet hook. Make a chain long enough to fit around the waist (mine was 85 ch). Join the chain and work in the round in double crochet (remember to chain 3 at the beginning of each round) until the pants meet between the legs (mine took 11 rounds).

Tail opening:

In the round where the tail opening will be (mine was in Round 3), do not work the last 5 stitches at the end of the round. Instead, chain 5, join to the end of the round, and continue working in the round.

Next, fold the pants in half and join 10 stitches in the center from the wrong side: 5 stitches on one side and 5 stitches on the other side. Then attach the yarn and crochet each pant leg for 3 rounds.

YO/K/YO - yarn over / knit / yarn over - raglan line

On the wrong side, you can knit the yarn over through the back loop so there will be no holes (as in the photo), or work it as a regular purl stitch, which will create eyelet holes along the raglan line.

Start knitting with white yarn.

Cast on 20 stitches (including selvedge stitches). Work back-and-forth rows.

Hat

When knitting the hat, try it on and adjust the number of stitches and rows if needed.

Gazzal Baby Cotton yarn, size 2 circular or double-pointed needles. My head circumference was 24 cm.

Knitted hat for a toy

Cast on 60 + 1 stitches on circular or double-pointed needles. Join the knitting and work 6 rounds in 2x2 ribbing. Then work 6 rounds in stockinette stitch (remember that when knitting in the round, the stitches are worked through the front loop).

Make the ear openings:

K15, bind off 13 stitches, K4, bind off 13 stitches, K15
On the next round, cast on the bound-off stitches:
K15, cast on 13, K4, cast on 13, K15
Then work 6 rounds in stockinette stitch
Next round: dec. Knit 2 stitches together across the round
2 rounds in stockinette stitch
dec. Knit 2 stitches together across the round
1 knit round
dec. Knit 2 stitches together across the round
1 knit round

Thread the yarn through all stitches and pull tight. Sew on a pom-pom.
