Rnds 13-15: 9 sc (3 rounds)
Crochet 4 more sc, or another number of sc as needed so that the color change will be on the inner side when the arm is sewn on. Fold the edges of the piece together and crochet 4 sc through both layers. Fasten off and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Legs (make 2)
Make two pieces. Stuff firmly as you crochet, but stuff the upper part a little more lightly so the legs do not stick out too much after sewing. Start crocheting with brown yarn.

Rnd 17: (dec, 3 sc) x 2 (8 sc)
Fasten off and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail to pull the remaining opening closed. Hide the yarn tail inside the leg.
Finishing and Assembly
Shape the face. First make the eye indentations, using the photo as a guide. Mark the eye placement with pins (points 1 and 2 in the photo). They are located between Rnds 12 and 13, with 8 sc between the points. Visually mark points 3 and 4, located 1 sc away from points 1 and 2 respectively.

Insert a long needle with thread at the base of the head and bring it out at point 1. Then insert the needle at point 3 and bring it back out at the base of the head. For extra strength, you can repeat the indentation one more time.
Make the indentation for the second eye in the same way, but this time bring the needle out from the base of the head at point 2. Then insert the needle at point 4 and bring it back out at the base again. Pull the thread ends and tie a knot.
Sew bead eyes into the indentations. With white thread, make stitches around the eyes to make the look more lively. Embroider eyebrows above the eyes with black thread, and cheeks with pink thread below the eye level, between Rnds 14 and 15.
Pin the head to the body.
Sew firmly around the neck. When a small opening remains, add more stuffing between the head and neck, then sew the opening closed.
Between Rnds 6 and 7 of the body, mark the places where the legs will be attached. Sew them on using thread jointing. Use the same yarn you used to crochet the body as the sewing thread.
Skirt
Join white yarn and crochet into the front loops of Rnd 12. Crochet in the round, starting each round with turning chains and ending with a sl st.
Rnd 1: 3 ch, dc inc in each stitch (84 dc)
Rnds 2-3: 3 ch, 84 dc (84 dc)
Rnd 4: 1 ch, 84 sc (84 sc)
Fasten off, cut the yarn, and hide the tail.
Sew the arms symmetrically to the sides between Rnds 20 and 21. Sew decorative buttons to the front for decoration.
Shell
Lower Part:
Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR
Rnd 2: inc in each stitch (12 sc)
Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18 sc)
Rnd 4: 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) x 5, 1 sc (24 sc)
Rnd 5: (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30 sc)
Rnd 6: 2 sc, inc, (4 sc, inc) x 5, 2 sc (36 sc)
Rnd 7: (5 sc, inc) x 6 (42 sc)
Finish with a sl st. Fasten off, cut the yarn, and hide the tail.
Upper Part:
Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR
Rnd 2: inc in each stitch (12 sc)
Starting with the third round, crochet all following rounds through the back loops only.
Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18 sc)
Rnd 4: 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) x 5, 1 sc (24 sc)
Rnd 5: (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30 sc)
Rnd 6: 2 sc, inc, (4 sc, inc) x 5, 2 sc (36 sc)
Rnd 7: (5 sc, inc) x 6 (42 sc)
Rnds 8-9: 42 sc (2 rounds)
Do not cut the yarn; continue crocheting.
Fold the two shell pieces with the wrong sides facing in and join them by crocheting 42 sc. When a small opening remains, place stuffing inside. Do not stuff too firmly. Continue crocheting and close the opening completely. Do not cut the yarn.
Make a chain of 20 ch. Count 10 sc along the shell, and join the chain into the 11th sc with a slip stitch. Fasten off and cut the yarn. From the first point, where you started crocheting the chain of ch stitches, count 8 sc and join new yarn into that stitch. Make and attach the second strap in the same way.

Try the shell on the back. It should fit securely. If the shell is too loose or, conversely, difficult to put on, adjust the number of ch stitches in the straps. Hide all yarn tails inside.
