Frog

Free crochet frog tutorial by Anna Kovaleva.

Using this pattern, you can crochet a plush frog. Any plush yarn will work for this amigurumi: Himalaya Dolphin Baby, YarnArt Dolce, Kamteks Velour, or a similar yarn.

The finished toy is about 40 cm tall.

Materials and Tools

• Himalaya Dolphin Baby plush yarn: 80331 green, 80313 yellow, 80301 white
• Iris yarn for embroidering the face
• 4-4.5 mm crochet hook
• 12 mm safety eyes
• Toy stuffing
• Needle for sewing the pieces together
• Scissors

Crochet Amigurumi Frog Pattern

Hind Legs (make 2)

Begin by crocheting the toes. You will need 3 toes for each leg.

Round 1: 4 sc in the second chain from the hook (4)
Rounds 2-4: 4 sc (4)
Join the toes:
Round 5: Work 2 sc along the first toe, 2 sc along the second, 4 sc around the third, 2 sc along the other side of the second toe, and 2 sc along the other side of the first toe. Sew up the gaps between the toes.
Round 6: 12 sc
Round 7: (1 sc, dec) x 4 (8)
Round 8: 8 sc
Round 9: 1 sc, dec, 2 sc, dec, 1 sc (6)
Round 10: 6 sc
Round 11: Fold the leg flat and crochet 3 sc through both layers

First, crochet 2 white circles for the whites of the eyes.

Next, crochet 2 main eye pieces.
Round 1: 6 sc in the second chain from the hook (6)
Round 2: inc in each stitch (12)
Rounds 3-5: 12 sc

Join each main eye piece to a white circle by crocheting 12 sc through both layers. Remember to stuff the eye. If you are using safety eyes, insert them before joining the pieces. Then work 12 sl st. Fasten off and cut the yarn.
