Amigurumi Froggy Frog crochet

Free Froggy Frog crochet tutorial by Ekaterina Pavlova @mkigrushky.

With this pattern, you can crochet a plush frog with a sunflower. For this amigurumi project, you can use any plush yarn. The author recommends Himalaya Dolphin Baby. You will need less than one skein of the main color. The sunflower is crocheted with the same yarn. The cheeks and mouth are embroidered. The eyes are made from felt pieces.

The finished frog toy is about 14 cm tall.

  • Himalaya Dolphin Baby plush yarn – less than one skein in green, plus a small amount of the same yarn in brown, pink, and yellow
  • Thin black thread for embroidering the mouth
  • 4 mm crochet hook
  • Toy stuffing

Stuff as you go

Pull the opening closed, cut the yarn, and hide the tail.

Eyes

Stuff lightly. Leave a yarn tail for sewing. Count 2-3 rounds down from the top of the frog and sew on the eyes.

Arms

Stuff the tips of the arms. Leave a yarn tail for sewing. Sew the arms on at body round 10.

Legs

Stuff lightly and leave a yarn tail for sewing. Sew on the legs as shown in the photo.

Assembly

Cut felt eyes measuring 14 mm in diameter.

Make a few stitches with pink yarn to embroider the cheeks.

Embroider the mouth.

Sunflower

Start crocheting with brown yarn.

1: 6 sc in MR (6)
2: 6 inc (12), sl st
Continue crocheting with yellow yarn:
3: Work in the back loops only: (sl st, 18 sc, sl st) in one stitch

Repeat this 12 times. Sew the sunflower onto the frog's belly.
