Amigurumi kitty, puppy, and bunny crochet

Free crochet tutorial for Kitty, Puppy, and Bunny using one pattern by Marina Umerova @my_knitted_toys.

With this tutorial, you can crochet a kitty, puppy, or bunny. The pattern also works for amigurumi made with any plush yarn. You can use ribbons and little bells to decorate the toys.

Head

1. 6 sc in MR
2. 6 inc = 12 sc
3. (1 sc, inc) x 6 = 18 sc
4. (2 sc, inc) x 6 = 24 sc
5. (3 sc, inc) x 6 = 30 sc
6. (4 sc, inc) x 6 = 36 sc
7-12. 36 sc (6 rounds)
13. (4 sc, dec) x 6 = 30 sc
14. (3 sc, dec) x 6 = 24 sc
15. (2 sc, dec) x 6 = 18 sc

Insert the eyes between rounds 8 and 9, placing them 3 stitches away from the marker. Leave 4 visible stitches between the eyes; stuff with fiberfill.

Body

16-17. 18 sc (2 rounds)
18. (2 sc, inc) x 6 = 24 sc
19. 4 sc, paw (yarn over, insert hook into the 5th stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop; there are 3 loops on the hook, crochet the first two loops together; repeat this 2 more times; there are 4 loops on the hook, crochet them together in one stitch), 4 sc, paw, 14 sc

Shape the cheeks, embroider/insert the nose between the eyes, going 1 round down from the round where the eyes were inserted.

Kitty Ears

Sew near the center, close to each other.

1. 5 sc in MR
2. 5 inc = 10 sc
3. (1 sc, inc) x 5 = 15 sc
4-5. 15 sc (2 rounds)

Fold in half and crochet together.

Bunny Ears

Sew side by side near and slightly behind the center (at the first round), folding the piece together.

Fold in half, sew 1/3, sew in place, and decorate with a ribbon.

Bunny Tail

Puppy Ears

Same as bunny ears, but fold in half and crochet together, then sew this "dumpling" between rounds 4 and 5.

Puppy Tail

Instead of 16 ch like for the kitty, crochet 3-4 ch, then 3-4 sc back.

Embroider eyelashes, whiskers, and eyebrows. Enjoy!
