Crochet amigurumi gingerbread man Pryanya

Free crochet tutorial for a Gingerbread Man by @scandistyle_dolls.

With this pattern, you can crochet Pryanya. Any acrylic, cotton, or cotton blend yarn and a matching crochet hook will work for this amigurumi. If you like, you can decorate Pryanya with little buttons or embroidery.

The finished toy is about 8-9 cm tall.

Materials and Tools

  • Vita Brilliant yarn: beige and white (for the gingerbread cookie)
  • YarnArt Jeans yarn: red and green (for the berry)
  • Iris yarn in different colors (for embroidering the sprinkles)
  • 1.5 mm crochet hook
  • 3 mm safety eyes
  • Toy stuffing
  • Stitch markers
  • Glue
  • Needle
  • Scissors

Crochet Amigurumi Gingerbread Man Pattern

Legs and Body

Beige:

1: 6 sc in MR
2: 6 inc (12)
3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
4-6: 18 sc (3 rounds)
7: 18 sc (alternate: 1 sc in white, 1 sc in beige, and so on to the end of the round)
8: in white: 18 sc, cut the white yarn, continue in beige:
9-11: 18 sc (3 rounds)

Cut the yarn on the first leg. Crochet the second leg in the same way, but do not cut the yarn after finishing it. Continue crocheting the body.

12: join the second leg to the first: 15 sc along the first leg (leave 3 stitches unworked), skip 3 stitches on the second leg and crochet 15 sc, place a marker.

13-20: 30 sc (8 rounds)

Next, move on to crocheting the head. Do not cut the yarn.

Head

Cut the yarn, close the opening with a needle, fasten off, and hide the yarn tail inside the head. Sew up the opening formed when joining the legs.

Arms (make 2)

Beige:

5: 15 sc (alternate: 1 sc in white, 1 sc in beige, and so on to the end of the round)
6: in white: 15 sc, cut the white yarn, continue in beige:

Stuff. Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.

Scarf

Chain 40 with red yarn. Starting from the second chain from the hook, crochet 39 sc. Fasten off and hide the yarn tails.

Icing

White (I used Iris yarn and a 1.5 mm hook). Base:

1: 6 sc in MR
2: 6 inc (12)
3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)

Next, crochet the icing drips. Mine are a combination of the following patterns in any order. Between the drips, simply crochet 1-2 sc:

  • ch 6, starting from the second chain: 2 sc, 2 hdc, dc
  • ch 5, starting from the second chain: 2 sc, 2 hdc
  • ch 4, starting from the second chain: 1 sc, 2 hdc
  • ch 3, starting from the second chain: 1 sc, 1 hdc
  • (sc, hdc, 3 dc in 1 stitch, hdc, sc)

Crochet one round of drips, combining different patterns, then cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Berry with Leaf

Red (split the YarnArt Jeans strand in half)

1: 6 sc in MR
2: 6 inc (12)
3-5: 12 sc (3 rounds)
6: 6 dec

Stuff lightly, close the opening, cut the yarn, and leave a tail for sewing.

Join the green yarn (split the YarnArt Jeans strand in half) to the center of the top of the berry, ch 4, and starting from the second chain from the hook, crochet 3 sc. Fasten off and hide the yarn tails.

Toy Assembly

  • Sew the arms 2 rounds below the head.
  • Glue the eyes between rounds 6 and 7 of the head (counting from the beginning of the head - this is the round with 12 increases), with 6-7 sc between the eyes.
  • Embroider a smile with white yarn on round 4, 4-5 sc wide.
  • Buttons: cut a length of yarn, make a loop, pass one end of the yarn through this loop 5-6 times, then gently pull both ends of the yarn to form a little ball. Make 3 buttons and sew them between rounds 13 and 14, 16 and 17, and 19 and 20.
  • Sew the icing to the top of the head, then embroider colorful sprinkles with small stitches and sew the berry on top.
  • Tie on the scarf.
