Crochet amigurumi mouse

Free crochet tutorial for Mouse by Diana Patskun @dianapatskun.

With this pattern, you can crochet a mouse in a dress. Any cotton blend yarn will work for this amigurumi: YarnArt Jeans, Alize Cotton Gold, Gazzal Baby Cotton, and others. For decoration, you can use buttons, bows, and ribbons.

Materials and Tools

  • One skein of YarnArt Jeans yarn in butter and pink
  • One skein each of Alize Forever yarn (100% microfiber) for the sundress, in butter and pink
  • Crochet hooks: 3 mm and 1.75 mm
  • Safety eyes
  • Toy stuffing
  • Buttons for decorating the sundress
  • Needle for sewing pieces together
  • Scissors

Finish crocheting and cut the yarn.

Ears

Crochet two rings in butter and pink in MR:

Cut the yarn on the pink piece. On the butter piece, leave the yarn, fold the two pieces together, and continue crocheting around with single crochet stitches, working through two loops of the butter piece and one back loop of the pink circle.

Face Details

  • Sew on the ears.
  • Sew on the eyes.
  • Embroider the eyelashes and eyebrows with black yarn.

Bow

Crochet the bow with thin pink yarn.

In MR: ch 4, 6 tr, ch 4, sl st, ch 4, 6 tr, ch 4, sl st, pull tight to form a bow.

Sew the bow to the head. Sew the back legs to the lower sides of the body.

Dress for the Toy

Start crocheting the sundress with thin yarn, alternating two colors. Chain 42, join into a ring with sl st, and continue crocheting in the round. Finish each round with sl st and start the next round with ch 3.

Crocheted dress for a toy

Work arches around the bottom of the sundress: ch 3, 7 dc in one stitch, skipping the previous three stitches... continue this way to the end of the round and finish with sl st.

Attach the collar to the loops of the very top round: ch 5, 21 double treble crochet stitches, ch 5, sl st in the same stitch, sl st in the next stitch, ch 5, 21 double treble crochet stitches, sl st at the end.

Put the sundress on the mouse and sew the head to the body. Sew the front legs over the sundress. Decorate the sundress with small buttons.
