Crocheted amigurumi mouse keychains

With this pattern, you can crochet a little mouse. Any acrylic, cotton, or cotton blend yarn will work for this amigurumi project. Add keychain hardware to turn the toy into a keychain.

The finished toy is about 5.5 cm (2.2 inches) tall.

Mouse Body

1. 6 sc in MR; continue working in the round.

Next, crochet the legs directly from the body: work 3 sc in the same direction, then count back 6 sc and join them to form a round.

Work 4 rounds of 6 sc, then pull the opening closed. Crochet the second leg symmetrically from the body. Leave a longer yarn tail, pull the stitches on the leg closed, and bring the yarn out through the seam between the legs.

Stuff the body and sew the opening closed. If there is enough yarn left, bring it out where the tail will attach and crochet 7–10 chain stitches. The body and tail are done.

Stuff the head, shaping the nose. If making a keychain, insert a hanging loop. Sew on the eyes and embroider the nose and eyebrows.
