Christmas angel amigurumi crochet pattern
Head and dress
The head and dress are crocheted as one piece. Stuff only the head as you work.
Begin with yellow yarn:
1: 6 sc in MR
2: BLO 6 inc (12)
3: BLO (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
4: BLO (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
Change to peach yarn:
5: BLO 24 sc
6-8 (3 rounds): 24 sc
9: (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18)
10: (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)
11: 6 dec (6)
Do not close the opening! Continue crocheting and change to turquoise yarn:
12: 6 inc (12)
13: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
14: 18 sc
15: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
16: 24 sc
17: (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)
18: 30 sc
19: (4 sc, inc) x 6 (36)
20-26 (7 rounds): 36 sc
At the end of round 25, work 2 sl st. Cut the yarn, fasten off, and weave in the end.

Hair
Join the yellow yarn to the first unworked loop of round 1. Ch 8 and sl st into the same loop.
Work the remaining “strands of hair” as follows: ch 8, then sl st into the next loop. Continue this way through all the unworked loops on the head, working in a spiral.
Cut the yarn, fasten off, and weave in the end.
Legs (make 2)
Use peach yarn. Ch 4, starting in the 2nd ch from the hook:
1: 2 sc, 3 sc in the last ch, working along the other side of the chain: 1 sc, inc (8)
2: inc, 1 sc, (inc) x 3, 1 sc, (inc) x 2 (14)
- Work 1 more sc, fold the piece in half, and work 4 sl st through both layers. You should have 5 unworked stitches remaining.
- Next, work 5 sc, then continue in a spiral as usual, working 4 rounds of 5 sc.
- Fold the piece in half again and work 1 sc through both layers, then ch 10.
Cut the yarn, leaving a long 7 cm tail for sewing.
Sleeves (make 2):
Use turquoise yarn:
1: 6 sc in MR
2: 6 sc
3: (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)
4-7 (4 rounds): 9 sc
8: (2 sc, inc) x 3 (12)
9-10 (2 rounds): 12 sc
At the end of round 10, work 1 sl st. Cut the yarn, fasten off, and weave in the end.
Arms (make 2)
Use peach yarn. Ch 3, starting in the 2nd ch from the hook:
1: 1 sc, 3 sc in the last ch, working along the other side of the chain: inc (6)
2-3 (2 rounds): 6 sc
Work 1 more sc, fold the piece in half, and work 2 sc through both layers. Turn and work 1 sl st into the 2nd stitch. Then ch 9. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Use a needle to insert the arm into the sleeve. Bring the needle out through the side below the first round of the sleeve.
Wings (make 2)
Use Nako Paris yarn:
1: 6 sc in MR
2: 6 inc (12)

This section will be referred to as the “Circle” from this point on.

4: Starting in the 2nd stitch: FLO 5 sc, ch 4, turn

Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing, and fasten off.
Assembly and finishing
- Attach the legs with a needle. Insert the needle into the opening in the head where the 6 stitches were left unclosed, then bring it out through the back of the head. Bring the yarn tails from both legs out at the same point, tie them in a knot, and hide the ends.
- To make the feet point toward each other, apply a drop of glue to the “toes” of one foot and glue the feet together.

- Attach the arms with a needle below round 11 of the head. Again, bring both yarn tails out at the same point and secure them.
- Embroider the eyes with two strands of black sewing thread.

- Sew on the wings.
- Shape a halo from chenille wire and insert it into the head. You can apply glue to the end first.
- Add a hanging loop so you can hang your little angel on the Christmas tree.
