Cardigan for Toys

Free crochet pattern for a Cardigan for Toys by Alena @akvarelka_toys.

With this pattern, you can crochet a sweater for toys. Any acrylic, cotton, or cotton blend yarn and a suitable crochet hook will work for crocheting the outfit. The cardigan fits toys up to 30 cm tall.

Crochet Amigurumi Sweater for Toys Pattern

Start crocheting the cardigan from the top with a raglan construction.

Raglan

There are 18 stitches each for the front and back, 12 stitches for each sleeve, 4 raglan stitches + 2 turning chains = 66.

1. Chain 66.

Next, crochet in turning rows. There will be a button opening at the back, so divide the back stitches into 2 parts.

2. Starting in the 3rd stitch from the hook, crochet 9 dc (this is half of the back), 1 raglan st (work 3 dc in 1 stitch), 12 dc (sleeve), 1 raglan st (3 dc in 1 st), 18 dc (front), 1 raglan st (3 dc in 1 st), 12 dc (second sleeve), 1 raglan st (3 dc in 1 st), 9 dc (second part of the back), 2 turning chains. Turn.

Next, work 3 dc into each center raglan stitch.

You have crocheted up to the center raglan stitch, meaning the place where you worked 3 dc in 1 st. Crochet this stitch together with the next center raglan stitch using dc (that is, skip 22 stitches). This forms the first sleeve. Next, crochet 28 dc across the front. Then form the second sleeve in the same way, and crochet to the end of the row: 14 dc, sl st + ch 2.

8-11. Crochet 4 rows in dc, ending each row with sl st + ch 2.
12-13. Crochet 2 rows of ribbing, alternating front post and back post dc. At the end of the row, sl st and ch 2. In the last row, ch 1, cut the yarn, and weave in the end.

Finishing the Neckline

1. Join the yarn on the left and crochet a row of dc, ch 2. Turn the work.
2-5. Crochet 4 rows, alternating front post and back post dc, with ch 2 at the end of each row.

After finishing row 5, do not cut the yarn. Ch 1 and crochet around the neckline with sc, forming button loops from chains of 5 ch on the left, in the center, and at the top. Cut the yarn and weave in the end.

Sleeves

Insert the hook at the bottom of the sleeve base, catching both sides. Pull the yarn through to form a loop, then ch 2 for the turning chain. Crochet a round of dc, ending with sl st + ch 2. Work the second row the same way + sl st.

Pull the yarn through and cut it, then weave in the end. Crochet the second sleeve the same way.

Sew on 2 buttons, and your cardigan is ready!
