Crochet amigurumi calf pattern

Legs (make 4)

Start with black yarn.

1. 6 sc in MR = 6
Change yarn color to white (main color).
2-3. 6 sc = 6

On the first, second, and third leg, add 1 offset sc and cut the yarn.

On the fourth leg, add 4 offset sc, do not cut the yarn, stuff the legs, and keep crocheting.

Body-head

Join the legs one by one and crochet around each leg in a circle.

1. 6 sc around the first leg, 6 sc around the second leg, 6 sc around the third leg, 6 sc around the fourth leg = 24
2. (3 sc, inc) x 6 = 30

After crocheting two body rounds, pause here; this is the best stage to crochet the belly patch.

To make the belly patch, you can use an extra strand of the main color yarn.

If you did not leave an extra strand in advance and do not have a second ball of yarn in the same color, just cut the main yarn and use it. After finishing the belly patch, you can rejoin it and continue crocheting the body.

Attach the end of the extra strand to the opening between the legs from the inside, work around the opening with single crochet stitches (you should get about 8), then cut the yarn, leaving a tail for tightening. Thread the tail into a needle, pass it through each stitch under the outer loops, and pull the opening closed. Secure the ends.

Then continue crocheting the body.

3-6. 30 sc = 30
7. (3 sc, dec) x 6 = 24
8. (2 sc, dec) x 6 = 18
9. (1 sc, dec) x 6 = 12

Add 1 offset sc and stuff the body. Continue crocheting; next is the head.

10. (inc, 1 sc) x 6 = 18
11. (2 sc, inc) x 6 = 24
12-15. 24 sc = 24
16. (2 sc, dec) x 6 = 18
17. (1 sc, dec) x 6 = 12
Stuff the head.
18. 6 dec = 6

Cut the yarn, close the opening, and hide the yarn tail inside the head.

Ears (make 2)

With white (main color) yarn, make 4 ch. Starting in the second chain from the hook:

2 sc, (1 sc, 1 sc, 1 sc) in the last chain, move to the other side of the chain, 2 sc = 7

Muzzle

With pink yarn, make 5 ch.

Starting in the second chain from the hook:

1. 3 sc, 3 sc in the last chain, move to the other side of the chain, 2 sc, inc = 10
2. 4 sc, inc, 4 sc, inc = 12
3. 12 sc = 12

Add 1 sl st, fasten off, and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Assembly and finishing

Stuff the muzzle and sew it on.

Using black yarn, embroider the eyes above the muzzle.

Embroider nostrils on the muzzle.

Sew on the ears.

As horns, embroider two French knots with black yarn.

Attach three strands of the main color yarn to the backside and braid them. This is the tail.

Using black yarn, embroider spots.

Decorate the calf with a bell.
