Doll Backpack

Free Doll Backpack crochet tutorial by Svetlana @swlana_toys.

With this pattern, you can crochet a doll handbag. Any cotton blend yarn works well for this amigurumi project: YarnArt Jeans, Alize Cotton Gold, Gazzal Baby Cotton, and others.

Materials and Tools

• YarnArt Jeans yarn (a quarter skein)
• 2.5 mm crochet hook
• Sew-on snap button
• Decor (rhinestones, buttons, brooches)
• Needle for sewing parts
• Scissors

• sc — single crochet

Doll Backpack Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

Bag Base

Start crocheting from the base. Work in turning rows.

Chain 15 and crochet 4 rows in turning rows (I like the "crosses" method). Now switch to crocheting in the round; at the base corners, work 1 single crochet in each corner. There are 37 sc in the round. Crochet 16 rows upward.

Cut the yarn and fasten off. Drawstring: make 50 ch and thread it between rows 1 and 2.

Flap

Chain 14.

Row 1: Starting in the 3rd chain from the hook, crochet double crochets. Work 10 stitches in a row.
In stitch 11, work 6 double crochets into one foundation stitch, turn the work, then crochet 10 more double crochets in a row.

Row 2: Crochet in pattern. Where you worked 6 stitches into one foundation stitch, work 2 stitches into each of those 6 stitches (12 stitches total). At the very top (opposite the increase area, where the row ends), crochet 8 single crochets.

Straps

Chain 80, then crochet 1 row of single crochets around.
