Baby Whale Brooch
Free Baby Whale Brooch crochet tutorial by Warm Plushies @plushiki_milart.
With this pattern, you can crochet a whale-shaped brooch. For this amigurumi project, you will need Wolans Bunny Baby plush yarn in two colors: a main color and a contrasting color for the heart. The brooch is not stuffed! You only need to glue on one eye (since the toy is flat, the second eye would not be visible).
Materials and Tools
- Wolans Bunny Baby plush yarn in blue #50 and a small amount of pink #05
- 3.5 mm crochet hook
- 5 mm toy eye (half bead, 1 piece)
- Stitch markers
- Pins

- Glue
- Needle for sewing pieces together
- Scissors

Baby Whale Amigurumi Crochet Brooch Pattern
The brooch is worked in one piece using one color.
Ch 4, then continue crocheting from the second chain from the hook:
Round 1. inc, 1 sc, 4 sc in the last chain, 1 sc along the other side of the chain, inc (14)
Rounds 2-3 (2 rounds). 14 sc (14)
In the next two rounds, the decreases should be positioned along the top of the whale, so keep an eye on their placement.
Round 4. 4 sc, 3 dec, 4 sc (11)
Round 5. 2 sc, 4 dec, 1 sc (7)
Without stuffing, fold the piece in half and crochet the tail through both layers.
Round 6. 1 sc, tail (ch 3, starting in the second chain from the hook: sc, sl st; ch 3 again, starting in the second chain from the hook: sc, sl st), 1 sc, sl st.
Cut the yarn, fasten off, and hide the tail inside the piece.
All that is left is to glue an eye onto the whale, embroider a small pink heart, and glue (or sew) on the brooch finding. IMPORTANT! Attach it closer to the top of the piece so the brooch does not droop.
This sweet little whale will be a lovely accessory for the warm final month of summer.
