Teddy Bear

Free Teddy Bear crochet pattern by Lyudmila Orlova @ludaorlova_toys.

With this pattern, you can crochet a plush teddy bear. Fluffy yarn such as Alize Softy or Adelia Sofia works well for this amigurumi project. If you like, you can decorate the bear with a ribbon.

Experience working with fluffy yarn is required.

Materials and Tools

• Alize Softy yarn: 119 gray, 1 skein
• Alize Softy yarn: 55 white
• Iris yarn (for the nose)
• 2.5 mm and 1.1 mm crochet hooks
• 5 mm safety eyes
• Fiberfill
• Felt for the patches
• Needle for sewing the pieces together
• Scissors

Amigurumi Teddy Bear Crochet Pattern

I used Kirov Iris yarn and a 1.1 mm crochet hook.

Continue adding three stitches in each round until the piece reaches the desired size. It will form a triangle. Fold the nose in half and join the edges by crocheting through the stitches on both sides. Sew the muzzle to the head, then sew the finished nose on top.

Sew the muzzle to the head, adding fiberfill as you go. Next, sew on the ears. I sewed them along a curved line so they would be slightly rounded. Then embroider the nose with blue yarn and sew on the eyes.

Assembly and Finishing

Here is how I attach the arms and legs and add the finishing details. First, I trace the foot on paper to make a template for the leg patches. I transfer the template to gray felt and cut out the patches. Using blue yarn (YarnArt Jeans, color 33 blue), I sew a patch to each foot, making three stitches on each side.

I also make patches for the arms. Cut out small circles and sew them to the palms in the same way, but make only two stitches on each side.

Attach the arms and legs with thread joints.

Sew the tail to the teddy bear's bottom. Next, make two small squares for patches on the belly and head. Sew them on with blue yarn, making two stitches on each of the four sides. Embroider a few stitches with blue yarn on the head and body. That's it! Your teddy bear is ready.
