Snowman

Free crochet tutorial for a Snowman by Victoria Rusak @yammi_art.

Using this pattern, you can crochet a New Year snowman in a cap. Any cotton blend yarn will work for this amigurumi project: YarnArt Jeans, Gazzal Baby Cotton, Alize Cotton Gold, and others.

The finished toy is about 9.5 cm tall (not including the hat).

Materials and Tools

• YarnArt Jeans yarn: 62 (main body color), 85 (collar color), 26 (hat), 62 (pom-pom)
• Gazzal Baby Cotton 3419 yarn (for the carrot nose)
• 2.5 mm crochet hook
• 6 mm safety eyes
• Toy stuffing
• Needle
• Scissors

Crochet Amigurumi Snowman Pattern

Start crocheting from the body (the body and head are worked as one piece), stuffing as you go.

Body + Head

With white yarn:

Pull the opening closed and hide the yarn end.

Collar

Take the collar-colored yarn, attach it to the beginning of round 22, and crochet through the front loops:

Cut the yarn and fasten off.

Arms (Make 2)

Nose

Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing, and sew it to the hat.

Toy Assembly

• Sew the arms to the sides of the body, under the collar; the arms should point upward.
• Sew the nose to the head at the level of round 26, centering it so it sits between the eyes.
• Embroider the eyebrows and add blush to the cheeks.
• Sew the hat to the side of the head.
• Hooray! Our little snowman is ready!
