Plush Flamingo

Free Plush Flamingo crochet pattern by Ekaterina Arefyeva @kate_made_crochet.
With this pattern, you can crochet a plush flamingo. Any plush yarn will work for this amigurumi, including YarnArt Dolce, Himalaya Dolphin Baby, Kamtex Velour, and similar yarns.
The finished toy is about 60 cm (23.6 in) tall.
Materials and tools
- Plush yarn: pink (1.5 skeins), black, and peach (0.5 skein)
- 5.5 mm crochet hook
- Toy stuffing
- Needle for sewing the pieces together
- Scissors

Crochet plush flamingo amigurumi pattern
The entire toy is worked in turning rows. Make one turning chain at the end of each row. Stuff the pieces during assembly.
Body, neck, and head (make 2)
1: Ch 31, starting in the 2nd ch from the hook: 30 sc (30)
2-20: 30 sc
Continue with the neck and work a short row:
21-34: 8 sc
Continue with the head. Ch 5 and begin working in the 2nd ch from the hook. Head:
35-43: 12 sc
Beak (make 2)
Use peach yarn.

Change to black yarn.

Continue with the foot. Ch 6 and begin working in the 2nd ch from the hook.

Tail feathers
Use pink yarn.
Center feather (make 1):
Ch 15 and begin working in the 3rd ch from the hook:
3 dc, 3 hdc, 4 sc, 2 hsc, 3 hsc in the last ch; turn, 3 hsc, 4 sc, 4 hdc, 1 hsc
Fasten off and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the center feather to the tapered end of the body.
Long feathers (make 2):
Ch 14 and begin working in the 2nd ch from the hook:
4 hsc, 3 sc, 3 hdc, 3 dc
Fasten off and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew one long feather on each side of the center feather.
Short feathers (make 2):
Ch 10 and begin working in the 2nd ch from the hook:
3 hsc, 3 sc, 3 hdc
Fasten off and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the short feathers on top, between the center feather and the long feathers.
Wings (make 2)
Use pink yarn. Do not stuff.

Fasten off and cut the yarn. Weave in the end. Flatten the piece.
Wing feathers
Use black yarn. For the right wing: Working through both layers on the side with the paired decreases, crochet 10 sc from the pointed edge toward the rounded edge (this will form the base), then turn. Skip 1 sc and work 1 hsc.
Crochet the feathers:
1: Ch 2, 1 hsc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 hsc in the next stitch of the base
2: Ch 3, 1 hsc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 hsc, 1 hsc in the next stitch of the base
3: Ch 4, 1 hsc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 2 hsc, 1 hsc in the next stitch of the base
4: Ch 5, 1 hsc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 3 hsc, 1 hsc in the next stitch of the base
5-8: Ch 6, 1 hsc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 4 hsc, 1 hsc in the next stitch of the base
Fasten off and cut the yarn. Weave in the end. Crochet the left wing as a mirror image of the right wing.
Assembly

- Embroider the eyes.
- Join all the pieces with a row of sc. Stuff as you go.
- First, sew on the legs, tail, and beak, inserting them slightly into the body. Then work sl sts over the joins for a neat finish (only in these areas).
- Your pink flamingo is ready!
