Fly

Free Fly crochet tutorial by Irina Yurkova @iraurkova.
Using this pattern, you can crochet a fly. You will need YarnArt Dolce Baby plush yarn for this amigurumi project. The entire toy is crocheted continuously as one piece. To make the face, you will need safety eyes or glue-on eyes.
Materials and tools
- Dolce Baby plush yarn
- 2.5 mm crochet hook
- 5–6 mm safety eyes
- Fiberfill
- Stitch markers
- Pins
- Needle for sewing on parts
- Scissors
Abbreviations
- MR — magic ring
- sl st — slip stitch
- ch — chain stitch
- sc — single crochet
- dc — double crochet
- popcorn — 3 double crochet stitches with a common top
- inc — increase
- dec — decrease
- (...) x n — repeat n times
Crochet amigurumi fly pattern
Crochet the popcorn stitches and wings in white.
Wing (make 2)
Ch 5, starting in the second chain from the hook: 2 sc, hdc, 6 hdc in one stitch; continue along the other side: hdc, 2 sc.
Body + head
1. 6 sc in MR
2. 2 inc, (sc inc + popcorn made of 3 dc with a common top) x 2, 2 inc (12)
3. 12 sc
4. Leg (ch 4, starting in the second chain from the hook: 3 sl st), dec, leg, 5 dec (6)
Lightly stuff the head.

6. (5 sc, inc) x 2 (14)
7. Leg, 3 sc, leg, 11 sc (14)

Stuff as you crochet.

Fasten off and close the opening.
You can sew on the wings. I simply insert the hook under a stitch near the neck and tie the yarn ends together. I leave the ends longer, lay one end along the fabric, and crochet over it.
