Alpaca

Free crochet alpaca tutorial by Darya Saltevskaya @dary_toys.
With these instructions, you can crochet a plush alpaca. Himalaya Dolphin Baby Color plush yarn works well for this amigurumi, or you can use solid-color Himalaya Dolphin Baby yarn.
The finished toy is about 28 cm tall.
Materials and Tools
- Himalaya Dolphin Baby Color plush yarn (less than one skein)
- Himalaya Dolphin Baby plush yarn (a small amount for the tips of the legs)
- YarnArt yarn: white (for the ears and muzzle), black (for embroidery)
- 1.75 mm and 3 mm crochet hooks
- 14 mm safety eyes
- Toy stuffing
- Faux fur or fluffy yarn for the bangs
- Slicker brush
- Stitch marker
- Needle
- Scissors

Crochet Amigurumi Alpaca Pattern
Arms (make 2)
Start crocheting with solid-color yarn:
1. 6 sc in MR
2. (1 sc, inc) x 3 times (9)
3. (2 sc, inc) x 3 times (12)
4-6. 12 sc, 3 rounds
Change to the color yarn:
7. (2 sc, dec) x 3 times (9)
8-13. 9 sc, 6 rounds
Stuff lightly. Fold in half and crochet 4 sc through both layers.
Legs (make 2)
Start crocheting with solid-color yarn:
1. 6 sc in MR
2. (1 sc, inc) x 3 times (9)
3. (2 sc, inc) x 3 times (12)
4. (3 sc, inc) x 3 times (15)
5-7. 15 sc, 3 rounds
Change to the color yarn:
8-11. 15 sc, 4 rounds.

Stuff lightly. Fold in half and crochet 4 sc through both layers.

Crochet with Himalaya Dolphin Baby Color yarn:

6. 5 sc, 4 sc together with the leg, 11 sc, 4 sc together with the leg, 6 sc
7-11. 30 sc, 5 rounds
12. (4 sc, dec) x 5 times (25)
13. 25 sc
14. (3 sc, dec) x 5 times (20)
15-16. 20 sc, 2 rounds
17. Crochet the arms in. There should be 6 stitches at the back and 6 stitches at the front, and on each side crochet 4 stitches together with the arms.

Stuff the body.
Continue crocheting the head:

Insert the eyes between rounds 27 and 28. Stuff.

Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.
Muzzle
Crochet with white YarnArt Jeans yarn:

Assembling the Toy
- Sew on the muzzle, stuffing it lightly as you go.
- Embroider the nose and mouth.
- Sew on the ears.
Make a small eye tightening:
- Insert the needle with thread at the bottom center of the head (where the increases were) and bring it out at the lower edge of one eye.
- Insert it on the other side of the eye, bring it out at the starting point at the bottom of the head, and tighten slightly.
- Repeat for the second eye. Tie the thread ends and hide them inside the head.
Bangs

Cut faux fur or another fluffy yarn into 8-10 cm pieces. Attach them in bundles of 2-3 strands between the ears with a crochet hook. Brush them out with a slicker brush.
