Bridle

Main color.

Noseband – ch 30 and join to form a ring. It should fit loosely around the muzzle. Head strap – ch 49, try it on, adjust the number of chains as needed, and sew it to the noseband. Using a contrasting color, work slip stitches around both straps in BLO. Decorate the bridle with tassels.

Saddle blanket

Hold 2 strands of yarn together and use a larger hook. At the beginning and end of each row, leave a 4-5 in (10-12.5 cm) tail.

Work Rows 1-2 and 23-24 in the main color, then change colors as desired.
Row 1: ch 26, cut the yarn
Rows 2-24: turn, join a new strand, work 26 sc in FLO, and cut the yarn

Finish the fringe.

Saddle blanket ties

Join the main-color yarn at one corner of the saddle blanket and ch 40. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Make a second tie at the adjacent corner. Decorate the ends of the ties with tassels.
