Amigurumi Christmas bear crochet pattern

Free crochet pattern for a Christmas Bear by Julia @miracle_amitoys.

With this tutorial, you can crochet a New Year bear in a Santa costume. Any cotton blend yarn will work for this amigurumi project: YarnArt Jeans, Alize Cotton Gold, Gazzal Baby Cotton, and others. If you like, you can decorate the bear with a scarf and pom-pom.

  • 1.75-2 mm crochet hook
  • 6 mm safety eyes
  • Toy stuffing
  • Bell
  • Needle for sewing pieces together

Next, in round 8, use fluffy white yarn to crochet 1 round into the front loops. Fold the piece in half and crochet through both layers.

Continue increasing the number of sc, then crochet 2 rounds after each increase round. Crochet until the hat reaches the size you need. I made mine to fit over one ear.

Assembly

  • Sew the head to the body
  • Sew on the ears
  • In round 12 of the body, use fluffy white yarn to crochet a round of sc into the front loops
  • With yellow yarn, embroider a buckle over the black belt
  • Crochet around the bottom of the hat with fluffy white yarn
  • Sew the bell to the hat
  • Sew the hat to the bear's head
