Amigurumi Bunny Asya crochet rattle

Free Bunny Asya Rattle crochet tutorial by Kseniya Kostyuk @woodland_kids76.

With this pattern, you can crochet a bunny rattle. For this amigurumi, you will need YarnArt Jeans cotton blend yarn. You can replace it with 100% cotton yarn. Use safety eyes. Place a rattle insert inside the toy, ready-made or handmade.

Insert the eyes between rounds 16 and 17. From the second increase in round 15, count 2 sc and insert the first eye. Count 7 sc between the eyes and insert the second eye, 4 stitches from the increase. Melt the eye posts with a lighter.

Start stuffing the head and insert the rattle mechanism. Continue stuffing as you crochet.

Fold in half and crochet 9 sc through both layers. Fold in half again and crochet 4 sc. Leave a tail for sewing.

Finishing

Make two eye indentations with a long strand as shown in the photo. Sew the ears between rows, centered and parallel to the eyes, and add an extra stitch to the head one row higher so the ears stand upright. Embroider the nose with half a strand of colored YarnArt Jeans, and with the other half in the base color make a small indentation under the nose. Embroider eyelashes and eyebrows with black thread.

Collar

1. 32 sc in FLO
2. (ch, 2 dc in one stitch, ch, 2 dc in one stitch) x n to the end of the round
3. 5 dc between dc, sl st in the ch space. Repeat to the end of the round. Fasten off and cut yarn.

Ring Cover

35 ch, start from the 2nd chain from the hook. Work in turning rows for the needed number of rows, then use a needle to sew the strip around the ring. Mine took 9 rows.

The number of rows depends on the ring width. Do not forget to try it on the ring as you crochet. It should not be loose. Otherwise the head will wobble.

To keep the strip even, do NOT make a turning chain at the end of each row. Sew the rattle to the ring after finishing the toy.
