Baby Elephant

Free Baby Elephant crochet tutorial by Viktoriya Makarevich @odessaviktorytoy.
With this pattern, you can crochet a baby elephant. For this amigurumi project, any acrylic, cotton, or blended yarn and a matching crochet hook will work. You can decorate the toy as you like: with a satin ribbon or a crocheted bow.

Close the opening and hide the yarn tail. Lightly stuff the trunk. Continue crocheting the head.

Fasten off and cut the yarn.
- Stuff the head firmly.
- Make eye sculpting between rounds 16-17 of the head. Insert the needle under the trunk and bring it out between rounds 16-17 at the first eye position. Return the needle under the trunk, pull the thread tight, and secure it. Insert the needle under the trunk again, bring it out at the second eye position, and return under the trunk. Pull the thread tight and secure. Using this same thread, sew the trunk to the head with a few stitches.
- Attach, glue, or sew on the eyes. Embroider the whites with white thread and the eyebrows with black thread.

For the pink piece, finish with sl st, cut and hide the yarn tail. For the gray piece, do not cut the yarn. Place both pieces with wrong sides facing inward and crochet around the edge.
