Crocheted little monster

With this pattern, you can crochet a small toothy little monster. You can use any yarn in two shades: white/orange, white/green, white/red, and so on.

Materials and tools

Yarn in two colors
A matching crochet hook
Safety eyes
Toy stuffing
Needle for sewing pieces together
Scissors

Abbreviations

MR - magic ring
ch - chain stitch
sc - single crochet
sl st - slip stitch
inc - increase
dec - decrease

Amigurumi monster crochet pattern

Eyes (make 2)

With white yarn:

1: 6 sc in MR (6)
2: 6 inc (12)
3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
Insert the eyes in the center (round 1)
4: 18 sc (18)

Change to light green yarn:

5: 18 sc (18)
6: In back loops only all the way around: 14 sc, 3 ch, skip 3 stitches, 1 sc in the fourth stitch (18)
7: 18 sc (18)
8: (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)
9: 6 dec (6)

Stuff. Cut the yarn and hide the end.

Monster crochet pattern

Work 15 sc in the front loops of round 6. Do not cut the yarn. Continue working into the opening left between rounds 5 and 6:

1-2: 8 sc (8)
3-10: 2 inc, sc, 2 dec, sc (8)
11: (1 sc, inc) x 4 (12)

For the second eye, work it a little differently:
1-2: 8 sc (8)
3-10: 2 dec, sc, 2 inc, sc (12)
11: (1 sc, inc) x 4 (12)

Stuff as you go. Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.

Legs (make 2)

With light green yarn:

1: 6 sc in MR (6)
2: (2 sc, inc) x 2 (8)
3: (3 sc, inc) x 2 (10)

5: (4 sc, inc) x 2 (12)
