Arms (2 pieces)

1. 6 sc in MR
2. 6 inc (12 sc)
3. (1 sc, 1 inc) x 6 = 18
4-5. 18 sc
6. (sc, dec) x 6 = 12
7-9. 12 sc. Stuff the arm; do not stuff the top part, otherwise it will stick out awkwardly to the sides.
10. (4 sc, dec) x 2 = 10
11-13. 10 sc
14. (3 sc, dec) x 2 = 8
15-19. 8 sc
20. Fold the arm in half and crochet 3 sc through both layers.

Legs (2 pieces)

Crochet two pieces. Here you can follow your own preferences. Mine has striped pants with stripes of different widths; you can make them solid or add more colors. Note that when changing colors, an uneven slant often appears, meaning the color changes move diagonally. To avoid this, make 1-2 offset stitches in the row where you change color.

Start with the main pants color.

1. 6 sc
2. 6 inc (12 sc)
3. (1 sc, 1 inc) x 6 = 18
4. (2 sc, 1 inc) x 6 = 24
5-7. 24 sc. Change color
8-10. 24 sc + 1 offset stitch, change color
11-15. 24 sc + 1 or 2 offset stitches so the color change stays straight. Change color
16-18. 24 sc. Change color
19-20. 24 sc. Cut the yarn on the first leg; leave it on the second one.

Body

Join the legs. Crochet with yarn of the same color. On the second leg, make 3 chain stitches and join the first leg (pass the loop of the second leg through the loop left on the first leg, and tighten everything well so no holes remain). Now crochet sc in each stitch.

21. 24 sc along one leg, 3 sc along the ch-chain, 24 sc along the other leg, 3 sc along the other side of the ch-chain (54 sc)
22-23. 54 sc. Change color
24-26. 54 sc. Change color
27-31. 54 sc. Join the arm-color yarn and crochet the body. Keep the pants-color yarn in front of your work; you will still need it.
32. In BLO, crochet 54 sc.

In FLO, crochet 54 sl st with the pants-color yarn. Cut and fasten off the yarn. Continue with the body-color yarn.

33-35. 54 sc
Stuff the legs firmly; this stage is the most convenient for that. Stuff the body as you go.
36. (7 sc, dec) x 6 = 48
37-38. 48 sc
39. (6 sc, dec) x 6 = 42
40. (5 sc, dec) x 6 = 36
41. Attach the arms. They should be positioned exactly at the sides. 36 sc
42. (4 sc, dec) x 6 = 30
43. (3 sc, dec) x 6 = 24
44. (2 sc, dec) x 6 = 18
45. 18 sc

Head

To get a nicely shaped head, distribute the increases. Stuff the neck area firmly so the head does not flop over. Stuff the antenna firmly too!!!

46. (2 sc, inc) x 6 = 24
47. 1 sc, inc, (3 sc, inc) x 5, 2 sc = 30
48. (4 sc, inc) x 6 = 36
49. 2 sc, inc, (5 sc, inc) x 5, 3 sc = 42
50. (6 sc, inc) x 6 = 48
51. 3 sc, inc, (7 sc, inc) x 5, 4 sc = 54
52. (8 sc, inc) x 6 = 60
53. 4 sc, inc, (9 sc, inc) x 5, 5 sc = 66
54-65. 66 sc
66. 4 sc, (dec, 9 sc) x 5, dec, 5 sc = 60
67. (8 sc, dec) x 6 = 54
68. 3 sc, (dec, 7 sc) x 5, dec, 4 sc = 48
69. (6 sc, dec) x 6 = 42
70. 2 sc, (dec, 5 sc) x 5, dec, 3 sc = 36
71. (4 sc, dec) x 6 = 30
72. sc, (dec, 3 sc) x 5, dec, 2 sc = 24
73. (2 sc, dec) x 6 = 18
74. (sc, dec) x 6 = 12
75. (2 sc, dec) x 3 = 9
76-80. 9 sc
81. 9 inc (18)
82. (2 sc, inc) x 6 = 24
83-85. 24 sc
86. (2 sc, dec) x 6 = 18
87. (sc, dec) x 6 = 12
88. 6 dec
