Watermelon Donut

Free Watermelon Donut crochet tutorial by Alesya @gnezdyshko_milidi.
With this pattern, you can crochet a donut with watermelon icing. For this amigurumi project, any acrylic, cotton, or cotton blend yarn will work: YarnArt Jeans, Alize Cotton Gold, Gazzal Baby Cotton, and others.

- Sewing needle for attaching pieces

Donut
1. 30 ch, join into a ring

Fasten off, cut the yarn, but leave a long tail for sewing.
Join both edges and sew in a circle. Stuff firmly as you sew so the donut keeps its shape. At the end, fasten off, cut the yarn, and hide it inside the base.

Icing
Work in a spiral. In red:

Drips
2 sc, 5 ch, and from the second chain from hook 5 sc (the 5th sc should be worked along the edge of an sc, marked in red in the first photo), 6 sc, 3 ch, from the second chain from hook 3 sc (the 3rd sc should be worked along the edge of an sc). Alternate to the end of the round.

Fasten the yarn with a sl st, cut it, leaving a long tail for sewing the icing to the donut base.
Toy Assembly
- Sew the icing to the base
- Embroider black seeds
- The amigurumi donut is ready!
