Totoro and His Little Helper

Free crochet pattern for Totoro and his little helper by Nelly Shisterova @nelly_handmade.

Using this pattern, you can crochet Totoro and his little helper from the anime "My Neighbor Totoro." Any acrylic, cotton, or cotton blend yarn and a matching crochet hook will work for these amigurumi toys.

The finished Totoro is about 24 cm tall, and his little helper is about 11 cm tall.

With white yarn:

Work 2 sc, 2 hdc, sc, tr, dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc into a magic ring.

Pull the ring tight and finish with a sl st in the first sc. Cut the yarn and leave a tail for sewing.

Assembly

Sew the pieces together, then attach the eyes and pupils (beads) close to the nose. Embroider the nose as a horizontal line, along with the whiskers and mouth, using embroidery floss. Embroider small gray V shapes on the belly patch with gray yarn.
