Amigurumi crochet Pencil Topper Tiger Cub

With this pattern, you can crochet a miniature tiger cub. Any cotton yarn 50 g / 250 m will work for this amigurumi: Vita Cotton Coco, Alpina Xenia.

The finished toy is about 4.5 cm tall.

Crochet Amigurumi Pencil Topper Tiger Cub Pattern

Head

Start with the muzzle. Use milk/white yarn.

1: 6 sc in MR
2: (inc, sc) x 3 times (9)
3: (2 sc, inc) x 3 times (12)
Change to orange yarn
4: in BLO - 6 sc, 6 inc (18)
5: 5 sc, (inc, 3 sc) x 3 times, inc (22)
6: 22 sc (22)
7: 3 sc, 3 ch, skip 3 sc, starting from the fourth sc - 7 sc, in FLO - 4 hdc in one stitch, 4 sc, in FLO - 4 hdc in one stitch, 3 sc

Embroider the nose with sewing thread.

8: 3 sc, 3 sc along the ch chain (through the half loops), 7 sc, fold the ear toward you, in BLO - hdc inc, 4 sc, fold the ear toward you, in BLO - hdc inc, 3 sc (24)

Add stuffing.
12: 6 dec, fasten off, leaving a tail. Do not close the opening yet.

Sew on the eyes, making a slight tightening as you do. Bring the thread ends out through the opening at the back of the head. Embroider the eyebrows and muzzle. Embroider the stripes with Iris yarn/thread. Close the opening. You can also finish the head later, once the toy is assembled.

Body

Move on to crocheting the body. Work it from the head: attach the yarn to the remaining loops at the bottom of the head as shown in the photo:

1: inc, sc, inc, sc between the rounds, inc, sc, inc, sc between the rounds (12)
2: 12 sc (12)
3: (inc, 2 sc) x 4 times (16)
4: 10 ch, into the first stitch of the round - 16 sc + 10 sc along the ch chain
Try the paws on the pencil.
5: 16 sc (16)

Skip 10 sc (these form the paws) and crochet the next round as usual, starting from the first sc of the body.

6: (7 sc, inc) x 2 times (18)
7-9: (3 rounds) - 18 sc
10: 10 ch, into the first stitch of the round - 18 sc + 10 sc along the ch chain
11: 10 sc, 10 ch - starting from the second chain from the hook - 9 sc, along the body - 8 sc (18)

Add stuffing. Skip 10 sc (these form the paws) and crochet the next round from the first sc of the body.

12: (sc, dec) x 6 times (12)
Add stuffing.
13: 6 dec

Fasten off, leaving a tail to close the opening. Weave the tail inside the body.

Embroider stripes on the body with Iris yarn/thread. The tiger cub is ready!
