Amigurumi tiger cub crochet pattern

With this pattern, you can crochet a plush tiger. Any plush yarn works well for this amigurumi: YarnArt Dolce or Himalaya Dolphin Baby. The toy is crocheted, and the scarf is knitted. If you like, you can crochet the scarf instead.

The finished toy is about 17 cm tall.

Materials and Tools

  • Himalaya Dolphin Baby plush yarn: orange (half a skein), milk, white, and black
  • YarnArt Jeans yarn (for the nose and scarf)
  • 3.5 mm crochet hook (for the tiger)
  • 3.5 mm knitting needles (for the scarf)
  • Safety eyes, 10-12 mm
  • Fiberfill
  • Stitch markers

Stuff the base of the arm. Start crocheting with white yarn.

Fold the piece in half and crochet through both layers together (crochet 2 stitches together to reduce the number of stitches).

Toy Assembly

  • Sew the head to the body. Note that the body has an oval shape, so make sure everything is even and symmetrical.
  • Sew the ears and muzzle to the head. Embroider the nose on the muzzle (split the YarnArt Jeans strand into 2 separate strands).
  • If you are using sew-on eyes, sew them between Rnds 8 and 9, 5-6 sc apart.
  • Sew the arms to the body along the seam where the head is attached to the body, 4 stitches apart.
  • Sew the legs between Rnds 4 and 5, 10 stitches apart.
  • Sew on the tail.
  • Embroider the stripes as you like.
