Tiger Cub Timka

Free crochet tutorial for Tiger Cub Timka by @vilena_toys.

With this pattern, you can crochet a plush tiger. For this amigurumi, any plush yarn works: Himalaya Dolphin Baby (color 80316), YarnArt Dolce (color 778), and others.

Finished toy size is about 40 cm.

• Himalaya Dolphin Baby yarn, main color 80316 (2 skeins), accent color 80765 (0.5 skein)

Sew the opening closed and hide the yarn tail.

Join accent-color yarn to round 4 and crochet 42 sc in FLO, sl st. Fasten off and hide the yarn tail.

Legs (2 pieces)

Cut yarn, leaving a tail for sewing. Sew this side to the foot. Do not stuff. The other side, where the piece started, will be crocheted directly into the body through both loops.

Cut yarn, pull the opening tight, and hide the yarn tail.

Ears (4 pieces)

Crochet 2 pieces in white and 2 pieces in the accent color. Crochet in turning rows, starting each new row with a turning chain.

For the white pieces, cut and fasten off yarn. Place two pieces together and crochet sc around the perimeter, turn the work and crochet around once again. Cut yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.
Sew on, stepping back 3 stitches from the center of the crown, with 10 stitches between the ears.

Tail

Do not stuff this piece. Fold it in half and crochet 3 sc through both edges. Cut yarn, leaving a tail for sewing. Sew the tail in the next round after crocheting in the legs.

Muzzle

Cut yarn, leaving a tail for sewing. Sew on, leaving 3 rounds up from the neck and positioning it 6 rounds higher.

Assembly and Finishing

• Glue the eyes right above the muzzle, with 8 stitches between them.
• Glue the nose in the center, in the 3rd row from the edge of the muzzle. With plush yarn in the accent color, embroider a stripe several rows downward and, if desired, embroider whiskers with short random stitches.
• With the same yarn, you can embroider the bangs right away. Mark strand placement with stitch markers: from the center of the crown 5 rows down, with 3 stitches between edges. For each strand, make two stripes in accent-color yarn and one stripe in white yarn in the center.
• Embroider the whites of the eyes with white plush yarn.
• Embroider "claws" on the paws with plush yarn, about 3 stitches apart.
