Tiger Cub

A free crochet tutorial for Tiger Cub by Tatyana Sokolova @tatsok_toys.

With this pattern, you can crochet a tiger with a scarf. For this amigurumi project, any acrylic yarn will work. The author recommends Pekhorka yarn as the main yarn and fluffy Kamteks yarn (for the chest patch).

The finished toy measures about 10 cm.

Materials and tools

• Pekhorka Detskaya Novinka yarn: 79 calendula (for the body), 01 white (for the body), 324 light azalea (for the nose)
• Pekhorka Shkolnaya yarn: 02 black
• White Kamteks Khlopok-Travka yarn (for the chest patch)
• 1.9 mm crochet hook
• Safety eyes
• Toy stuffing
• Slicker brush
• Needle for sewing parts

Close the opening. Fasten off, cut the yarn, and hide the end.

Muzzle

Pekhorka Detskaya Novinka yarn 01 white, 1.9 mm hook.

1. Ch 5. Starting in the 2nd ch from hook: inc, 2 sc, 3 sc in the last ch, 3 sc (10)
2. 2 inc, 2 sc, 3 inc, 2 sc, inc (16)

4-6. 6 sc in white, 3 sc in orange, 13 sc in white

Leave a tail for sewing and cut the yarn. Add a little stuffing.

Finishing

Count 13 rounds down from the MR, position the muzzle, and sew it on. Insert safety eyes, embroider the whites of the eyes with white yarn, and embroider lashes above the eyes with black Iris thread.

Mark the eyebrow placement and embroider them. With pink yarn, embroider a triangle nose. With black yarn, embroider around the edge of the nose; without cutting the yarn, embroider the center line on the muzzle and the dots on the muzzle.

Ears (make 2)

Pekhorka Detskaya Novinka yarn 79 calendula. In MR: 6 sc, tighten the ring, do not join in the round. 1 ch, turn, 6 inc. Join black yarn and crochet 12 sc. Leave the orange yarn tail for sewing; fasten off and cut the remaining yarn tails. Sew on the ears.

Arms (make 2)

Close the opening and cut the yarn. Sew on the arms using button jointing.

Embroider black stripes on the head, arms, and body. If desired, brush the toy slightly. Brush carefully with hook-and-loop tape or a slicker brush.

Tail

Pekhorka Detskaya Novinka yarn 79 calendula, 1.9 mm hook.

Leave a tail for sewing, fasten off, and cut the yarn. Embroider black stripes. Sew the tail to the back.

Chest patch

Use any fluffy white yarn.

Leave a tail for sewing, fasten off, and cut the yarn. Brush it up and sew on the patch.

Scarf

With red yarn, chain 4 ch; starting in the 2nd ch from hook, crochet 3 sc. Continue in turning rows with 1 tch, alternating 2 rows in red and 2 rows in green to the desired length. Fasten off and cut the yarn tails.
