Strawberry Baby

Free crochet tutorial for Strawberry Baby by Tatyana Sokolova @tatsok_toys.

With this pattern, you can crochet a little baby in a strawberry outfit. Any cotton blend yarn will work for this amigurumi project. For the doll, the author recommends YarnArt Jeans yarn, and for the hat, Pekhorka Children's Novelty or Pekhorka School yarn.

The finished toy measures about 11 cm, not including the hat.

Pull the opening closed and cut the yarn. Sew the arms on using button jointing.

Sew on the bead eyes 15 rounds down from the magic ring, embroider the nose with body-colored yarn using 2 strands and 2 stitches, embroider the mouth with one small stitch, and shade the cheeks.

Forelock

Join the hair-colored yarn at the crown, crochet 11 ch, then starting in the second chain from the hook crochet 10 sc. Make 3 more strands like this. Fasten off and cut the yarn.

Hat

Pekhorka Children's Novelty yarn, color 06 red, hook size 1.9 mm:

Fasten off and cut the yarn.

Calyx

Pekhorka School yarn, color 480 bright green, hook size 1.9 mm.

In MR, crochet 7 ch without tightening the ring. Starting in the second chain from the hook: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 2 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, then make 1 sl st into the MR. One leaf is complete. Crochet 4 more leaves the same way for a total of 5 leaves. Tighten the MR. Now crochet 8 ch, then starting in the second chain from the hook make 7 sl st. Leave a tail for sewing, cut the yarn, thread the tail onto a needle, and bring it out through the center of the MR so the tail ends up in the middle.

Sew the calyx onto the hat. Sew on the small beads.

Small Flower

Pekhorka Children's Novelty yarn, color 01 white, hook size 1.9 mm. In MR, crochet 4 ch without tightening the ring, then make 1 sl st into the MR. Repeat 4 more times for a total of 5 petals. Sew a yellow bead into the center. Sew the flower onto the side of the hat.

Collar

Pekhorka School yarn, color 480 bright green, hook size 1.9 mm.

Crochet a chain of 19 ch, leaving a tail about 30-35 cm long for a tie. Starting in the third chain from the hook, crochet 2 hdc into each stitch to the end of the row. Make 1 ch, turn, crochet 34 sc, 2 ch, turn, then work (1 hdc, inc made from hdc) x 17. Fasten off and cut the yarn.

Join Pekhorka Children's Novelty yarn in color 01 white on the right side and trim the collar as follows: (4 sc in one stitch, sl st, skip 1 stitch) x to the end of the row. Fasten off and cut the yarn. Using the yarn tail from the starting chain, crochet a chain of 25 ch for one tie, then join yarn on the other side and crochet the second tie. Thread beads onto the ends.
