Speckled Hen

Free Speckled Hen crochet tutorial by Iryna Zubova @_funny_toy_.
With this pattern, you can crochet a bright hen. For this amigurumi project you will need YarnArt Jeans cotton blend yarn and a 2 mm crochet hook. The bird's tail is made with multicolor self-striping yarn. For the eyes, use special self-adhesive googly eyes.
Finished toy size is about 13 cm.

Head
Round 17. switch to yellow (35), BLO, 24 sc (24)

Cut yarn and secure with a knot. Close the opening and hide the yarn tail inside.
Tail
Start (2 mm hook): self-striping yarn.
Work in turning rows.
Round 1. Skip 2 stitches; working through both layers of the piece, crochet 7 inc (sc) from three stitches (21)
Rounds 2-7. (6 rnds) 1 tch, turn, 21 sc
Sew the opening closed. Use yarn matching the body color.

Ruffle
Round 17. yellow (35), FLO sl st, 3 dc in one stitch - repeat around.
Wings
Start (2 mm hook): Yarn Art Jeans - self-striping yarn.
Round 1. 6 stitches in MR
Round 2. 6 inc (12)
Round 3. 1 sc, 1 inc (sc), 1 dc, 1 inc (dc), (1 tr, 3 tr in one stitch) x 2, 1 dc, 1 inc (dc), 1 sc, 1 inc (sc)
Leave a yarn tail for sewing. Cut yarn and secure with a knot.

Feet
Start (2 mm hook): Yarn Art Jeans - yellow (35).
Round 1. 6 stitches in MR
Round 2. 1 inc, (1 sl st, ch 6, from the third chain from hook 4 hdc) x 3, 1 inc
Leave a yarn tail for sewing. Cut yarn and secure with a knot.
Beak
Start (1.5 mm hook): Yarn Art Jeans - mustard (84).
Round 1. 6 stitches in MR
Round 2. 1 inc, 5 sc (7)
Round 3. 1 inc, 6 sc (8)
Round 4. 1 inc, 7 sc (9)
Round 5. 1 inc, 8 sc (10)
Leave a yarn tail for sewing. Cut yarn and secure with a knot.
Sew on the wings, feet, and beak.

Comb
Start (2 mm hook): Yarn Art Jeans - red (90).
1 pc - ch 6, into the third chain from hook: 3 dc, 3 hdc, sl st
3 pcs - ch 7, into the third chain from hook: 3 dc, 4 hdc, sl st
Cut yarn and secure with a knot. Hide the yarn tail inside.

Wattle
Start (2 mm hook): Yarn Art Jeans - red (90).
Make a ring (as for MR) and crochet into it: ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st, ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st

Tighten the yarn tails.
Attach under the beak.
Glue on the eyes.
