Softy Bunny

A free crochet tutorial for Softy Bunny by Victoria Matveeva @matveeva_toys.

With this pattern, you can crochet a plush bunny. Any fluffy yarn will work well for this amigurumi project: Alize Softy, Adelia Sofia, Himalaya Baby Soft, Lanoso Puf, Nazar Bembi, and others.

Materials and tools

• White Alize Softy yarn (or a similar alternative)
• YarnArt Jeans yarn for embroidering the nose and crocheting the bow
• 2.5 mm crochet hook
• 7 mm safety eyes
• Thread for sewing the parts together
• Toy stuffing
• Needle
• Scissors

Legs (2 pieces)

1: 6 sc in MR (6)
2: 6 inc (12)
3-6: 12 sc (4 rounds)

Cut the yarn.

Make the second leg the same way. Do not cut the yarn; join both legs with 2 ch.

Body

7: 12 sc around one leg, 2 sc along the chain, 12 sc around the second leg, 2 sc along the chain (28)

Bow

Use acrylic yarn and a 2 mm hook:

1: 4 ch
2: Work 3 dc into the first chain. Without cutting the yarn, make 3 ch and work 1 sl st into the same chain. This makes one half of the bow. Make 3 ch again, then work 3 dc into the same chain, make 3 ch, and finish with 1 sl st into that same first chain.

Leave a long yarn tail. You can wrap it around the center of the bow.

Toy assembly

• Sew all the parts together
• Embroider the nose with pink yarn
• If desired, tint the cheeks with blush or dry pastels
• Embroider eyelashes and eyebrows
• Sew the bow to the neck or to the ears
