With this pattern, you can crochet a snowman-shaped brooch. A crocheted brooch is an original accessory that can become a cute decoration for your winter sweater, blouse, or holiday outfit.

Any cotton blend yarn works for this amigurumi: YarnArt Jeans, Alize Cotton Gold, Gazzal Baby Cotton, and others.

Materials and tools

  • YarnArt Jeans (50 g / 160 m) or Vita Soft Cotton (50 g / 175 m) for the head, hat, sweater, and scarf
  • Iris yarn (25 g / 150 m) for the nose
  • 1.5-2.0 mm crochet hook (for Soft Cotton, Jeans)
  • 1.0 mm crochet hook (for Iris)
  • Fiberfill
  • Black beads or ready-made 4 mm safety eyes
  • Black seed beads or beads for buttons, black thread
  • Thread for embroidering arms, for example YarnArt Canarias (20 g / 203 m)
  • Brooch pin back
  • Needle
  • Scissors

Place a marker at the start of the round, it should be centered at the back. Increases will go along the sides.

Pom-pom

Nose

Iris yarn, 1.0 mm hook
1: 6 sc in MR
2: 6 sc
3: (1 sc, 1 inc) x3 (9)

Cut yarn, fasten off, leave a tail for sewing.

Scarf

Chain 34. Starting from the second chain from hook, crochet 33 sl st. Hide one tail, leave the other for sewing.

Finishing

  • Turn the snowman upside down, with the back facing you.
  • Join hat-color yarn to the start of round 10, crochet into the remaining front loops: 1 ch, 33 sc, sl st.
  • Cut yarn and hide the ends inside.
  • Sew on the pom-pom.
  • Sew on the nose and eyes, embroider eyebrows.
  • Put a little fiberfill inside and distribute it so the part is evenly stuffed but still flat.
  • Sew on the scarf with a few stitches around, and also where the two ends cross.
  • Sew on buttons and embroider arms.
  • Sew on the brooch pin back.
  • Sew both halves of the piece together at the bottom using the yarn tail left earlier. Hide the tail inside.
