Sheep Doll

A free crochet tutorial for a Sheep Doll. Unknown author.

With this pattern, you can crochet a small doll in a sheep costume. A crocheted doll in a hood with sheep ears. For this amigurumi project, any acrylic, cotton, or cotton-blend yarn and a matching hook will work. The author recommends Iris thread held double. The toy can also be made as a keychain.

You can use any colors. In this example, the doll in a sheep hood is crocheted in gray and pink.

How to crochet popcorn stitches

5 dc worked into one stitch with one shared base. Crochet the first double crochet. Then in the same stitch repeat dc 4 more times, until you have 6 loops on the hook. Crochet all loops together as one stitch.

Hood

With pink yarn:

Put the hood on the head.
Make hair from yarn and sew it on.

Sew the hood to the head. To make the hair curly, braid the strands into small braids or crochet through them. Unravel them the next day.

Crochet the second leg the same way. Next, join the legs and crochet the body.

Stuff this piece very firmly. Using embroidery floss or thin yarn, embroider the eyes and cheeks (between rounds 9 and 10). Sew the head to the body.

Skirt

Crochet with two strands: gray + pink.

Through the body, work 18 sc
1-3. 18 sc
4. Then crochet (inc, sc)
5. (2 sc, inc) x to the end of the row
6. (3 sc, inc) x to the end of the row
7. (4 sc, inc) x to the end of the row

Adjust increases and length to fit your doll's size.

Arms (2 pieces)

Crochet with two strands: gray + pink:

1. 5 sc in MR
2. 5 sc
3. 1 sc, inc, 3 sc (6)
4-5. 6 sc

Crochet the second arm the same way. Leave a long yarn tail and use it to sew the arms to the body.

Scarf

With gray yarn:

1. 3 ch
2. 2 dc, work into the 2nd chain from the hook

Repeat this row until the scarf reaches the needed length.

Rose

With pink yarn:

1. 17 sc
2. 2 dc in the 3rd chain from the hook, sc to the end of the row (30)
3. sc in the next stitch. Skip one stitch. 5 dc in the next stitch, skip one stitch, sc in the next stitch. Repeat 6 times.

Leave a long tail for sewing. Roll the flower into a spiral and sew the rose with the remaining tail.
