Rosita Cat

Free crochet pattern for Rosita Cat by Ekaterina Pavlova @mkigrushky.

With this pattern, you can crochet a cat in a sundress with a bag. For this amigurumi project, you will need YarnArt Jeans and Gazzal Baby Cotton cotton-blend yarn (they are the same in thickness and fiber content). The dress, bag, and headband are crocheted separately. They are removable and made from the same yarn as the toy itself.

The finished cat toy is about 19 cm tall.

• Black embroidery floss for embroidering the eyelashes, eyebrows, and nose

Head

Stuff only the tip of the arm. Fold the arm in half and crochet 4 sc through both layers. Cut the yarn and hide the end.

Crochet the first leg:

Sew the head to the body.

Sew on the ears.

Sew the tail at the level of round 29.

Face Details

Embroider the eyelashes, eyebrows, and nose. Add blush to the cheeks with eyeshadow.

Sundress

1. Ch 41, 1 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, 37 dc
2. Ch 3, 1 dc, inc, (2 dc, inc) x 11 times, 2 dc
3. Ch 3, 1 dc in each stitch to the end of the row

Cut the yarn.

Straps

Join the yarn at the edge of the sundress and ch 17. Count 16 dc and make a sl st.

Crochet along the chain: 3 dc in each chain to the end of the chain, sl st. Cut the yarn and hide the end.

Crochet the second strap in the same way, but on the other side.

Sew 3 buttons to one side of the sundress and make 3 ch loops on the other side.

Bag

Ch 10, work 9 sc into the 2nd ch from the hook, then work 8 sc along the other side of the chain.

Continue crocheting in the round, making 1 sc in each stitch. Crochet 7 rounds this way. Do not cut the yarn; ch 60 and make a sl st into the opposite edge of the bag. Cut the yarn and hide the end.

Headband

Ch 65, join into a ring, crochet single crochet stitches along the chain, sl st. Cut the yarn.

Flower

Crochet with brown yarn:

1. 6 sc in MR
2. 6 inc (12 sc)

Join the red yarn:

(Ch 3, 4 dc in one stitch), 5 dc in each stitch to the end of the row.

Do not cut the yarn; sew the flower to the headband.
