Puppy crochet pattern

Free Puppy crochet tutorial by @vivir_vintage.

With this pattern, you can crochet a little dog. This crocheted puppy stands on four legs. Any yarn and a matching crochet hook will work for this amigurumi project. For example, you can use YarnArt Jeans yarn and a 2.5 mm hook. All pieces are crocheted separately. The legs and tail are sewn on, while the ears are crocheted directly into the head as you work.

Head

Start with white yarn. Stuff as you go. Insert the safety eyes between rounds 6 and 7, 6 stitches apart.

Body

Pull the opening closed, fasten off, and hide the yarn tail inside the piece.

Tail

Use light brown yarn. Chain 8, then starting in the second chain from the hook: 7 sl st. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing to the body.

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing to the body.

Toy Assembly

  • Sew the tail to the middle of the body, between rounds 3 and 4.
  • Sew the legs to the sides of the body. Sew the head to the top of the body, turning it slightly to one side.
  • Embroider the whites of the eyes underneath using white yarn.
  • Insert a finished plastic nose or embroider it on the muzzle with black thread.
