Timofey the Puppy

Free crochet tutorial for Timofey the Puppy by @plush_toys__stavropol.

With this pattern, you can crochet a plush puppy wearing a scarf. For this amigurumi project, you can use any plush yarn such as Himalaya Dolphin Fine, Himalaya Dolphin Baby, YarnArt Dolce, or similar.

For the scarf, you can use any acrylic yarn, cotton yarn, or cotton blend yarn.

Materials and Tools

• Himalaya Dolphin Fine plush yarn: 0.5 skein of the main color (317), and 1/3 skein of a second color (337) for ears, tail, and paws
• Black yarn for the nose
• Red yarn for the tongue
• Green yarn for the scarf
• 3 mm crochet hook
• 1.5 mm crochet hook (for the tongue)
• 10 mm safety eyes
• Fiberfill
• Needle for sewing parts
• Scissors

Nose

Black yarn, 3 mm hook

Finish off, cut the yarn, and weave in the end.

Attach the eyes between rounds 9 and 10, with 2 stitches between them.
Sew the nose between rounds 10 and 12, directly under the eyes, and lightly stuff it.

Make Eye Indentations

You will need a long needle with a wide eye and the same yarn you used for the puppy. Insert the needle at point 3 (see photo). Point 3 is centered 2 rounds below the sewn-on nose. Bring the needle out at point 1 at the left corner of the eye, then return to point 3 by inserting the needle at the right corner of the eye. Do the same for the second eye.

Tongue

Rnd 1. Ch 4, in 2nd ch from hook: sc, hdc, 5 dc in last ch, continue along the other side of the chain: hdc, sc.
Finish off, cut the yarn, and weave in the end.
Sew the tongue at point 3.

Legs (make 2)

Carefully watch the alignment while attaching the parts. The tail should be centered between the legs, and the arms should be parallel to the legs. If needed, shift by one stitch. Everyone has different stitch tension and yarn type, so small variations are possible. Keep an eye on this and your puppy will come out neat and well-shaped.

Scarf

I crocheted the scarf with a 1.5 mm hook using "Detskaya Novinka" yarn: ch 80, then starting in the 3rd ch from hook work hdc around, make 5 hdc in the last stitch, turn to the other side and continue with hdc, make 4 hdc in the last stitch, sl st. Then work a round of sc around the scarf and steam or iron it.

Toy Assembly

Stuff the body, sew on the finished head, and your puppy is ready!!!
