Pumpkin Brooch Amigurumi Crochet Pattern
Work in turning rows. I did not crochet a turning chain.
Row 1: with orange yarn, chain 15 ch
Row 2: starting in the 2nd chain from the hook, work 1 sl st, 2 sc, 2 hdc, 4 dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc, 1 sl st = 14 st
Rows 3-14: work the same as Row 2. Work each row in the back loop of the previous row
Rows 15-19: work through both loops as follows: 2 sl st, 10 sc, 2 sl st = 14 st
Rows 15-19 will form the back side of the brooch, where the pin will be attached.
Using a "loop-to-loop" seam, sew stitches of Rows 1 and 19 together. Pull closed the stitches at the bottom of the pumpkin. Add a little stuffing. Pull closed the stitches at the top opening.
Stem
Crochet in the round with green yarn:
Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR
Rnds 2-4: 6 sc
Rnd 5: work in front loops only (inc) x 6 times = 12 st
Rnd 6: work through both loops (sc, inc) x 6 times = 18 st
Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.
Leaf
Row 1: with green yarn, chain 7 ch
Row 2: starting in the 2nd chain from the hook, work 5 sc, 3 sc in 1 st, 5 sc along the other side of the foundation chain.
Row 3: 5 sc, 1 ch, turn, work 10 sc in the opposite direction, 1 ch, turn, work 5 sc in the opposite direction.
Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.
