Amigurumi Crochet Pumpkin Pattern

Pumpkin Base

1: 6 sc in MR
2: 6 inc (12)
3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
5: (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)
6: (4 sc, inc) x 6 (36)
7: (5 sc, inc) x 6 (42)
8: (6 sc, inc) x 6 (48)
9: (7 sc, inc) x 6 (54)
10-18: 54 (9 rounds)
19: (7 sc, dec) x 6 (48)
20: (6 sc, dec) x 6 (42)
21: (5 sc, dec) x 6 (36)
22: (4 sc, dec) x 6 (30)
23: (3 sc, dec) x 6 (24)

Stuff lightly.

24: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
25: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (12)
26: 6 dec

Add a little more stuffing.

Work a couple more decreases, cut a long yarn tail, and pull the opening closed.

Insert the needle into the center from the opposite side, bring it out at the center of the starting side, and pull tight to form the first "segment." Repeat around the circle as many times as needed (I make 6 "segments"). Tie a knot in the center and hide the yarn tail inside the pumpkin.

Stem

1: 5 sc in MR
2-6: 5 sc (5 rounds)
7: 5 inc (10)
8: (1 sc, inc) x 5 (15)
Join with a sl st.

Cut the yarn and sew the stem to the pumpkin on the side where you made the knot to hide it (you can pin it first for convenience). Hide the remaining yarn tail inside the pumpkin.
