Amigurumi Porcini Mushroom Crochet Pattern
Cap
Start crocheting with brown yarn:
1: MR 6 sc
2: 6 inc (12)
3: (1 sc, 1 inc) x 6 (18)
4: (2 sc, 1 inc) x 6 (24)
5: (3 sc, 1 inc) x 6 (30)
6: 30 sc
7: 2 sc, (1 inc, 4 sc) x 5, 1 inc, 2 sc (36)
8-10: 36 sc (3 rounds)
11: Change to a lighter color and work in the back loops only (4 sc, 1 dec) x 6 (30)
12: (3 sc, 1 dec) x 6 (24)
13: (1 dec, 2 sc) x 6 (18)
14: Work in the back loop only (1 sc, 1 dec) x 6 (12)
15: 6 dec, close the opening, cut the yarn, and hide the end
Between rounds 11 and 12, you can optionally make a round of slip stitches and work round 12 in the front loops only, because making decreases through the back loops only is very difficult.
Stem
Use beige yarn or an even lighter shade.
Continue from round 13 using the remaining front loops:
16: 18 sc
17: Next, work through both loops: (5 sc, 1 inc) x 3 (21)
18: 3 sc, (1 inc, 6 sc) x 2, 1 inc, 3 sc (24)
19: (7 sc, 1 inc) x 3 (27)
20: 4 sc, (1 inc, 8 sc) x 2, 1 inc, 4 sc (30)
21-24: 30 sc (4 rounds)
25: (3 sc, 1 dec) x 6 (24)
27: (2 sc, 1 dec) x 6 (18)
28: (1 dec, 1 sc) x 6 (12)
29: 6 dec, close the opening, cut the yarn, and hide the end
Embroider stripes on the stem with black or dark brown thread. Your Porcini Mushroom is ready!
