Amigurumi plush tiger cub crochet pattern

With this pattern, you can crochet a plush tiger cub. Any plush yarn will work for this amigurumi: Himalaya Dolphin Baby, YarnArt Dolce, and others. If you like, you can embroider the nose or use a plastic safety nose.

The finished toy is about 16 cm (6.3 in) tall.

  • 4 mm crochet hook
  • 14 mm safety eyes
  • 14x11 mm safety nose
  • Toy stuffing
  • Needle for sewing pieces together
  • Scissors

Arms (make 2)

Start crocheting with white yarn:

Rnd 2. (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)
Rnd 3. 9 sc
Change the yarn color to orange
Rnd 4. 2 sc, 2 dec, 3 sc (7)
Rnd 5. 2 sc, 1 dec, 3 sc (6)
Rnd 6-8. 6 sc (3 rounds)

Fold in half and crochet 3 sc through both layers. Fasten off, cut the yarn, and hide the end inside the arm. Embroider stripes with black yarn.

Assembly and Finishing

  • Sew the muzzle under the eyes between rounds 7-12.
  • Sew the ears between rounds 3-6.
  • Sew the head to the body, then use the same yarn to make eye shaping under the eyes.
  • Embroider the whites of the eyes with white yarn; embroider the eyebrows, eyelashes, and head stripes with black yarn.
