With this pattern, you can crochet a plush mouse. Any plush yarn and matching hook size will work for this amigurumi.

Finished toy size is about 12-13 cm, not including the tail.

Materials and tools

  • Himalaya Dolphin Baby plush yarn
  • 3.0 mm crochet hook
  • Black yarn for embroidering eyebrows
  • 9-10 mm safety eyes
  • 10x11 mm nose (or you can embroider one)
  • Satin ribbon for decoration
  • Fiberfill

Round 1: 5 sc in MR (5)
Round 2: inc x 5 (10)
Round 3: sc (10)
Round 4: 2 sc, (inc) x 6, 2 sc (16)
Round 5: 2 sc, (sc, inc) x 6, 2 sc (22)
Round 6: 2 sc, (2 sc, inc) x 6, 2 sc (28)
Rounds 7-13: sc (28) - 7 rounds
Round 14: 6 sc, inc, 14 sc, inc, 6 sc (30)
Round 15: sc (30)
Round 16: (3 sc, dec) x 6 (24)

If you are using safety eyes, insert them now. The author placed them between rounds 5 and 6.

Pull the opening closed, cut the yarn, and hide the ends.
As you crochet, keep the marker centered; the author used offset stitches for this.

Tail

Attach yarn where the tail will be. Chain 20-25 (depending on desired tail length), then crochet back with slip stitches. Cut yarn, fasten off, and hide the ends. If you want a very thin tail, you can leave just the chain.

Ears (make 2)

Round 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
Round 2: inc x 6 (12)
Round 3: (sc, inc) x 6 (18)
Round 4: sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) x 5, sc (24)
Round 5: (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)

Fold the ear in half and crochet 2 more sc.

Sew the ears to the head.

Make sculpting and shape the muzzle. The mouse is ready!
